Spring Break Camp 2006

Spring Break Camp was March 20th-24th! We had a great time with 26 students from the ages of 5-10. The vibrant campers stayed plenty busy with math, study skills, science, art, music and Spanish activities. It was amazing how much the campers enjoyed reading time. They listened attentively and the 5-7 group campers asked to read to their class.

The teachers were the best AND so were the aides!!!

I'm so grateful for the experience. I truly feel I came away with a greater understanding of the true impact our programs have on children. I watch several of the campers blossom from Monday to Friday! I watched several children gain confidence, make new friends, learn new things. Most of all, I was touched as several of the little leaders watched out for their peers and nurtured the adults. :)

We appreciate all of the parents that enrolled their children to participate.

I'm looking ahead to next year. :)

Special thanks to the YAED staff for making the camp a success!!! The time and effort that was dedicated will result in tangible and intagible results for our department and the little leaders we served all week!

Sincerely posted,

MLF
